"This insect has the potential to greatly impact agricultural crops and hardwood trees. SLF feeds on the plant sap of many different plants including grapevines, maples, black walnut, and other important plants in NJ. While it does not harm humans or animals, it can reduce the quality of life for people living in heavily infested areas."

It has an insatiable appetite for the sap of fruit, ornamental  and woody plants.

The Moving Wall, a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., was recently set up at Woodbourne Park in Wantage.

One of the veterans shown assisting in getting it mounted is a Montague resident.

An area veteran is trying to get something going to help facilitate better help for more recent vets.

The effort is titled:

Operation: Got Your Six

This past Sat., he and others walked

13 for 13: Hike for the Fallen

in memory of the military personnel killed in the recent suicide bombing at Kabul Airport.

Part of that walk was over the upper part of Montague's River Rd.
