Little Flatbrook Valley Preserve, Montague Township, Sussex County
The Nature Conservancy, 2350 Route 47, Delmont, NJ 08314 held a public hearing March 20th, 2013 to obtain comments regarding the proposed administrative transfer of ownership interest in parkland between The Nature Conservancy and the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. This transfer is subject to approval from the Green Acres Program.Written comments may still be submitted to the agencies listed below. All written comments must be received by April 3, 2013.
The proposed administrative transfer would involve the transfer of undivided interest held by The Nature Conservancy in 89.38 acres at the Little Flatbrook Valley Preserve, to the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection. The properties shall continue to be used solely for recreation and conservation purposes and shall be reasonably accessible to the public to the same extent as or greater than prior to the transfer. The Green Acres restrictions and any other applicable recreation and conservation restrictions on the parkland shall continue to apply.
